NAA-Tampa Bay Awarded Highest Accreditation Reaffirmation Possible from COE

On July 1, 2019, National Aviation Academy began a comprehensive self-study to reaffirm its accreditation with the Council on Occupational Education (COE). On November 15, 2021, the COE’s Visiting Team arrived at the Tampa Bay campus to evaluate the responses submitted in NAA’s self-study report.

The formal action of the Commission was to CONTINUE the accreditation of National Aviation Academy, 6225 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater, FL 33760. The Commission scheduled the next reaffirmation for the maximum amount of six years from this approval, with a visiting team returning in 2027.

Reaffirmation denotes that an institution has maintained quality programs, undergone extensive self-study and team review, and has continued to meet the Commission’s Standards and Conditions for Accreditation. Accreditation is granted annually, with subsequent reaffirmation scheduled for two to six years. Each institution must substantiate its accreditation each year through an annual report that reflects its current status.

Both the practice and results of self-study proved a valuable tool. NAA will continue this evaluation on an annual basis to ensure ongoing compliance with the COE’s Standards and continuous improvement as an educational institution.

As Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved Part-147 School accredited by the Council on Occupational Education in Tampa Bay and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges in New England, National Aviation Academy welcomes students to pursue quality aviation maintenance training.
