National Aviation Academy (NAA) is an aviation maintenance school that has been training technicians since 1932. 

As we innovate to meet the demands of today’s workforce, our training offers the experience and education required to become a certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic. 

Our campuses in Clearwater, FL, and Concord, MA, provide an educational experience like no other! We focus on hands-on, practical instruction that develops the skills needed in the real-world work environment. Our Campuses

NEW ENGLAND

Our New England campus is located in historic Concord, MA. It is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). This two-facility campus offers space for labs, shops, classrooms, and administrative offices. The hangar is located on the flight line at Minute Man Air Field and houses the shop/lab areas for the Aviation Maintenance Technology curriculum. The Baker Avenue facility contains modern classrooms, labs, and offices. This campus has been in operation since 1932, and continues to build its legacy as one of the oldest aviation maintenance training schools in the world!

TAMPA BAY

Our Tampa Bay campus has two facilities located in Clearwater, FL. It is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE). The main campus houses administrative offices and classrooms for Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aviation Maintenance Professional and Advanced Aircraft Systems courses. An additional hangar is located at the St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport (PIE). PIE is also home to the United States Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, the largest and busiest air station in the United States.

HOW LONG will it take to get my A&P?

We are an aviation maintenance school that provides a path to earning your Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licenses in as little as 14 months! Our Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program focuses exclusively on A&P training.

Do I need to have prior hands-on experience?

The short answer: No! We welcome students of all backgrounds. You will be in class with people of all different skill levels. Some may have military aviation experience, others may be holding tools for the first time.

what will my classes be like?

Training is hands-on and takes place in aircraft hangars, labs, and classrooms. Curriculum is taught through three modes: classroom instruction paired with text and workbook review, team-oriented projections in a laboratory setting, and real-world work experience on aircraft in a hangar.

is there demand in the industry?

Boeing's 2023 Pilot and Technician Outlook has estimated that 690,000 new technicians will be needed globally by 2042. Skilled technicians will be essential to combat the needs of the industry.

A&P licenses NEVER expire and offer a variety of exciting career opportunities in aviation and parallel industries. It's not just one sector of aviation that is in need of qualified technicians!
