Student Council Food Drive Donations
To ensure members of our local community could have the opportunity to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal, NAA came together to collect donations from students and staff! Student Council representatives led this initiative in partnership with the Student Services team.
Thanksgiving is a time to show gratitude to our loved ones, friends, and the community! Generosity pays dividends, and it matters for our society as a whole that our less fortunate receive both thanks and help when in need.
Over two weeks, New England and Tampa Bay campuses donated a total of 1,478 canned and packaged food items in addition to $200 raised to purchase items! Next, items were donated to the Acton Community Pantry in New England and local food pantries in Tampa Bay to refill their shelves during their busiest time of the year. The donations received will support families thanks to the humility and compassion of students and staff members!
Additionally, each campus’s Student Council hosted a raffle for those who brought in non-perishable and canned donations. Winners will receive go-kart racing packages, Universal Studios tickets, and various gift cards!
We would like to thank each and every student and staff member for their donated items. While this year has been difficult for many in different ways, it is humbling to know that people can come together for a positive cause! Be on the lookout for more Student Council charity events!
