In addition to providing quality A&P training, National Aviation Academy (NAA) offers students numerous opportunities to directly network with industry professionals and find employment. One such opportunity was the NAA Career Fair held at the New England campus on August 26, 2021. NAA Career Fairs are prime environments for students and alumni to connect with industry-leading employers.

Aviation Technicians Are Needed Everywhere!

According to the Boeing 2020 Pilot and Technician Outlook, 739,000 aviation technicians are needed worldwide. The demand for aviation maintenance work was certainly evident at the event with 23 companies in attendance, including Delta and United Airlines! As companies look towards recovering from the coronavirus-induced industry downturn, demand for skilled technicians is almost a given.

NAA Career Fairs also welcome industries parallel to aviation. One notable and new addition to the career lineup fair was Alert Innovation, an e-grocery startup based in Massachusetts. Students were ecstatic to meet the company, especially as Alert Innovation’s presence showcased the flexibility of aviation maintenance skills.

Promising Opportunities for Students

The NAA Career Fair proved fruitful for many students as they scheduled many interviews at the event! Employers conducted 50 interviews during the event, with several more planned afterward. Since the event, corporate attendees have even sent job offers!
