Opportunity for NAA Training to Translate to College Credit

National Aviation Academy (NAA) and Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) have entered into an articulation agreement to provide a new pathway towards advanced degrees. This partnership allows students to earn college credit towards a bachelor’s degree from SNHU by completing aviation maintenance training at NAA.

“The opportunity made available to students through this partnership is of tremendous value,” said Pam Van Sant, President and COO, NAA. – “The direct translation NAA’s Aviation Maintenance Technology course to college credit means students will be that much closer to achieving their educational goals should they wish to earn a bachelor’s degree. It is also a testament to the quality of training offered at NAA.”

NAA’s technical training offers access to profitable careers in the aviation maintenance industry. For those who want to additionally pursue an advanced degree, NAA training now satisfies 63 credits towards SNHU’s online bachelor’s degree program in general studies. Students transferring credits from NAA will receive a 10 percent tuition discount from SNHU, and can pursue a number of concentrations including business, operations management, and entrepreneurship.

“At SNHU, we are always eager to help learners find ways to continue their education and advance their skills,” said Susan Bogle, Associate Vice President of Product Marketing, SNHU. “This partnership with the National Aviation Academy will help expand access to college degrees for the next generation of aviation professionals, and is an opportunity to bring our resources together and deliver on our shared commitment of student success.”

An added advantage of attending SNHU as an NAA student is that the remainder of the degree can be completed entirely online, allowing individuals to begin work and complete their educations simultaneously. Ambitious students may also complete general education courses online with SNHU while attending NAA.

“We are thrilled to partner with SNHU to offer increased educational opportunities to students and alumni,” Van Sant continued. “The online component of this agreement is particularly exciting. It makes the transition from NAA diploma to degree possible and practical for our graduates as they enter careers across the nation and the globe.”

Students interested in learning more about the program should contact NAA at (800) 292-3228 for additional information.

NAA makes a huge difference for anyone considering a career as an aircraft mechanic. It was a memorable experience to this day. It’s a great decision for anyone willing to work hard.
