For the second year in a row, National Aviation Academy (NAA) hosted a Food Truck Festival and Open House at the Tampa Bay campus. Guests, students, and team members gathered to share great food and enjoy family fun in support of an amazing local community partner, Pinellas PAL (Police Athletic League). In Lealman, a tough and often neglected neighborhood in Pinellas County, the Police Athletic League provides mentoring, meals, academics and sports to at-risk youth.

Several weeks of fundraising at NAA culminated in the festival which was held on Saturday, November 2, 2019.  In addition to food trucks, there were raffles, activities for adults and children (including “build-an-airplane” crafts and a mobile gaming station), a bloodmobile courtesy of OneBlood, onsite resources for Veterans via the Mobile Vet Center, and a special helicopter landing from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office!

The food trucks and fun were not the only amazing part of the event… we opened the campus to the public to show a bit of what we do best: aviation maintenance training. Instructors were  available to give demonstrations and share their industry expertise. It was a beautiful day to be out in the sunshine connecting with the Clearwater and NAA community.

Thank you to all who attended. We hope to see you again next year!
