What can we do to help our military? Frankly, a lot. And no matter how much we do, it never quite seems like enough. In an effort to contribute to U.S. Armed Forces currently serving overseas, National Aviation Academy has been raising funds for Tampa Bay Area nonprofit Operation: Military Matters (OMM). It was our honor to donate $4,225.67 to OMM at our Food Truck Festival and Open House on Saturday, November 3, 2018. The donation will be used to send care packages from home directly to men and women who are actively deployed care of OMM founder, twelve-year-old, Graci Tubbs.

The event itself was a blast, offering an opportunity to get to know our neighbors and community members, as well as provide resources from the Mobile Vet Center and Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. With 7 food trucks, a mobile gaming station, crafts and infinite opportunities to learn about aviation, it was a great event for an even greater cause.
