Financial Questions

We don’t have money; can we get an advancement?

We are looking into some grant resources. If you need to request more funds please contact your Financial Aid office for assistance:

NAA has received funding from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF), in accordance with 1800 (a) of the CARES ACT, which will be disbursed to eligible students.

IMPORTANT: In order to receive the aforementioned HEERF funds, you must complete the NAA HEERF Form and it must be submitted no later than Monday, May 11th, 2020. The Business Office will disburse the HEERF in the form of a check. Your immediate completion of the HEERF form is appreciated so that we can process timely. We will notify students via text message when checks have been processed and are ready.

Do we have to make our tuition payments this month?

We are offering flexibility to the students that are making monthly payments.
Please contact the Business Office to discuss your personal account: [email protected]

Are we still going to be getting our May stipend?

NAA has received funding from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF), in accordance with 1800 (a) of the CARES ACT, which will be disbursed to eligible students.

Thus, May stipend checks will not be disbursed by NAA. NAA only receives federal funding as students satisfactorily progress in the program, earning hours and academics. NAA issued stipends in April which was prior to earning all hours and academics as classes were temporarily paused on 3/15/20.

IMPORTANT: In order to receive the aforementioned HEERF funds, you must complete the NAA HEERF Form and it must be submitted no later than Monday, May 11th, 2020. We will notify students via text message when checks have been processed and are ready.

Are we going to get our housing payment (BAH) from VA?

Please refer to the VA’s website https://benefits.va.gov/gibill/
We have had our attorney draft a letter and will be sending it to Secretary Willkie soon, requesting that our students BAH continue to be paid since we have been unable to hold classes as normal due to the COVID-19 crisis and the effect it has to our training and business operation since a large portion of our training must be completed in the presence of an A&P certified technician (practicals and labs)

The aviation industry is receiving 25 billion in the bailout and combines with the low price of oil, we expect as soon as the travel ban is lifted, we expect the industry should bounce back quickly. No one has a crystal ball at this point but we are in better shape than a lot of industries out there.

Yes, we cannot waive the requirement for your balance to be current in order to test.
