Rewarding Term 5 Students in Tampa Bay

NAA-Tampa Bay’s class of 10/17 has been rewarded with lunch of their choice for having the lowest missed academics and missed hours of ALL terms! This is the fourth consecutive time that this group of students has earned this distinction. They have been dedicated, determined and present… and it has paid off! 26 of 32 students have already tested for, and received, their Powerplant certifications. Congratulations on this tremendous accomplishment!

Student Success at New England Career Fair!

Did you know that over 648,000 new maintenance technicians will be needed in the aviation industry by 2036? Boeing’s 2017 Pilot and Technician Outlook has indicated that the demand for skilled technicians outpaces the rate at which positions can currently be filled! NAA Career Fairs are designed to put qualified students and alumni in front of employers who are actively looking to recruit personnel. NAA’s most recent Career Fair took place on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the New England campus in Concord, MA. Twenty-two companies were in attendance scouting students, conducting interviews and making offers.

Industry leaders such as Embraer, Gulfstream, Panasonic, United and many more were onsite. Student success was the aim of the day and was achieved! Interviews were conducted and offers were made onsite SAME DAY! Additionally, offers are continuing to be made.

The demands of the global aviation industry represent a rare and desirable aspect of field: tangible and continuous job growth. NAA focuses solely on aviation maintenance training to meet the specific need for Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanics in aviation and parallel industries

Our next Career Fair will be at NAA’s Tampa Bay campus on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Stay tuned for more details!

NAA-New England Students Visit Embraer Nashville

Seven NAA-New England students made the 1,105 mile trek (each way!) to visit Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services in Nashville over Spring Break. These students, who are approaching graduation, were committed to seeing Embraer’s Nashville Commercial MRO facility in person. A tour of the facilities and various hangars was provided, offering a glimpse of what awaits them in their future careers as aviation maintenance technicians!

Additionally, the students were given a warm welcome from Embraer leadership, who have expressed their hope that they will apply for positions at their Nashville and Macon job sites. We are extremely proud of these dedicated and ambitious students!
