NAA Attends the Great New England Air & Space Show!

NAA recently attended the 2018 Great New England Air & Space Show at the Westover Air Reserve Base. Westover is the nation’s largest Air Force Reserve base, and is home to more than 5,500 military and civilian workers. It was the perfect place to house this two-day event that was attended by an estimated 63,400 people from July 14-15, 2018.

Air Force Thunderbirds headlined the event. It was the first time in ten years that the Air Force’s official aerial demonstration team performed at Westover! Static displays of current and historic military aircraft, various other aerial demonstrations, and industry-specific companies and services were also onsite.

It was an exceptional opportunity to meet aviation enthusiasts in the New England community, and learn more about our fellow industry partners! For more information about training to be an aviation maintenance technician at our New England campus, call (800) 292-3228.

Student Discount Program

As a student, it’s always nice to be able to save a buck. In light of this, we are working to develop relationships in our community that make it easier for our students to do all of the things they need to do. NAA’s Student Services department has recently renewed the student discount program at the Tampa Bay campus to help save whenever and wherever possible.

With proof that you are an NAA student or staff member, you will be able to receive discounts from select food, fitness, housing and hotel providers. Take a look at all that you can be saving:

Local Resources Onsite in Tampa Bay

NAA’s student services department is continually looking for new ways to provide resources to our student community. From housing to student jobs to local services and discount programs, student services representatives seek the best for our student and Veteran populations. On June 27, 2018, multiple initiatives were undertaken to service our Veterans, register students to vote and connect with local community partners.

Pinellas Voter Registration at NAA’s Tampa Bay campus on June 27, 2018

Two Veteran claims counsellors were onsite from Bay Pines VA Healthcare System and Outreach Vet Center. Pinellas County Voter Registration was on campus allowing students to participate in voter registration signup with ease. GTE Credit Union was also available to students in need of financial and budgeting assistance.

The primary mission of the student services department is to provide services to students that support and enhance their educational experience at NAA. We aim to always meet this goal!
