General Statement of Duties
We seek a seasoned A&P Mechanic with avionics background and experience. Perform scheduled and non-scheduled mechanical maintenance and avionics trouble-shooting and repair on Company owned aircraft and general aviation aircraft; Inspects and diagnoses discrepancies to identify defective components; Determines serviceability of aircraft and components; Researches and recommends repair and purchase of replacement parts as required; Completes paperwork including logbook entries, FAA and repair station forms; Participates at the highest level as a team me...mber, supporting co-workers in their duties and providing extra-ordinary service to customers.
Experience and Training
Comprehensive knowledge and experience as an A&P Mechanic Maintenance Technician with avionics background for FAR 135 and / or 121 operations; Knowledge of A&P maintenance equipment, parts, materials and practices; Knowledge of electronic testing equipment associated with avionics industry; Knowledge of avionics equipment, products, materials and practices; Knowledge of the operation, design and repair of avionics equipment; Graduation from high school or an equivalent program and; A&P Maintenance certification and; any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work. Performs scheduled and non-scheduled mechanical maintenance on all Company and customer owned aircraft required by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, Wiggins Airways business plan, policies and procedures, and customer regulations;

• Collect and provide information on all daily cancellations and delays resulting from Maintenance or Stores related problems to complete daily Flight Interruption Reports.
• Compile reports in complete and orderly fashion.
• Process deferrable items in accordance with the policies and procedures in the General Maintenance Manual. Follow up on all deferred items, ensuring parts, downtime and manpower requirements are communicated to all related parties.
• Ensure MEL Deferred Item status is current and within time limits authorized by MEL.
• Provide notification to management personnel and regulatory authorities of incidents and accidents as instructed by Emergency Procedures and General Maintenance Manuals.
• Collect, assemble and distribute information for Service Difficulty Report Notifications and FAA Notifications.
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Candidate must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record that will pass the criteria set by our insurance carrier for on the job coverage.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic License required
• Previous Supervisory Experience preferred
• Understands company procedures and policies
• Good communication skills
• Positive and professional image
• Reliable and self motivated

Reports to: Manager of Maintenance Control
Duties and Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following:
• Establish and oversee the completion of assignments by Maintenance personnel working on active aircraft at gate and hangar operations. Redirect work assignments as required. Supervise on-call maintenance personnel contracted to perform maintenance and return to service aircraft.
• Provide technical knowledge and logistical support to Maintenance and Flight Crews for active fleet Maintenance Discrepancies, Minimum Equipment List, Configuration Deviation List, and "Re-Schedules" to determine proper and timely corrective action.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Flight Dispatch, Maintenance Planning, Stores, Engineering, and Inspection, providing current and continuing follow-up to ensure positive corrective action is made as promptly as possible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Authorize the use of "on-call maintenance" personnel to return aircraft to service, complying with MEL Maintenance Procedures or perform inspections for ferry flights.
• Oversee and coordinate aircraft Ferry Flights for the Maintenance Department.
• Authorize purchase of AOG parts.
• Authorize aircraft charters services to recover aircraft grounded at outstations and to relocate parts for aircraft requiring maintenance.
• Maintain continuous liaison with Flight Dispatch while providing current and continuous reports of general technical status of the entire fleet. Coordinate maintenance requirements during irregular operations in an effort to minimize costs and disruptions.
• Collect and provide information on all daily cancellations and delays resulting from Maintenance or Stores related problems to complete daily Flight Interruption Reports.
• Compile reports in complete and orderly fashion.
• Process deferrable items in accordance with the policies and procedures in the General Maintenance Manual. Follow up on all deferred items, ensuring parts, downtime and manpower requirements are communicated to all related parties.
• Ensure MEL Deferred Item status is current and within time limits authorized by MEL.
• Provide notification to management personnel and regulatory authorities of incidents and accidents as instructed by Emergency Procedures and General Maintenance Manuals.
• Collect, assemble and distribute information for Service Difficulty Report Notifications and FAA Notifications.
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Candidate must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record that will pass the criteria set by our insurance carrier for on the job coverage.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic License required
• Previous Supervisory Experience preferred
• Understands company procedures and policies
• Good communication skills

• Reliable and self motivated
• Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays and night shift

Technicians I & II – Avionics Department
In this role you will test, troubleshoot, repair and operate UAV electronic systems, ground control stations, ground data terminals and ground support equipment, as well as support flight operations for overseas and domestic deployments and oversee maintenance performed by civilian and military customers. Requirements:
May be required to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Knowledge of digital, analog and RF circuits.
Ability to read and understand schematics, operate electronic test equipment, and solder to mil specs.
Strong electronic theory and troubleshooting skills down to the component level.
Long hours may be required.
Ability to travel
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years electronic experience.
Have at a minimum an A.S. degree or military, trade school or equivalent training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Technical – analog, digital and RF electronics.
Troubleshooting expected (if your experience is only to trade out/swap parts this is not troubleshooting).
Aircraft systems – communication, navigation, power systems, datalinks, servo positioning control, understanding of autopilot and control systems.
Computer networking.
Environment:
You must be able to deal with the high desert of California! Be prepared, that it will be hot, windy and dusty in the summer and cold, windy and dusty in the winter. Open aircraft hangers and flight line work is typical.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
• Researches technical data and performs fabrication of composite aircraft parts/tooling, accessories, and trim in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, FAA regulation.
• Cuts fiberglass, kevlar or graphite cloth to size, following template or blueprints, using cutting machine, scissors, or knife.
• Marks identifying information on material and assembles materials in kits for subsequent laminating.
• Applies parting agent to mold or bonding fixture.
• Impregnates cloth with resins by dipping cloth in solutions, impregnating, or brushing resin onto cloth.
• Applies layers of impregnated cloth or prepreg onto mold or fixture in predetermined ply sequence, and presses cloth to fit contours of mold, smooth surface, and remove air pockets and excess resin, using squeegee, scraper, spatula or roller.
• Fits and laps ends of cloth, using scissors or knife.
• Encases molded laminate in bagging material and bleeder cloth, attached vacuum bagging apparatus, such as thermocouples, probes, and vacuum connections, to mold or bonding fixture, and exhausts air from vacuum bag to seal laminate for curing.
• Tests seal on vacuum bagging apparatus, using leak detector.
• Trims, drills, deburrs, grinds, sands, and finishes cured parts to specifications, using templates, fixtures, handtools, and power tools.
• Pre-fits and assembles cured parts into assemblies or subassemblies, using jigs, fixtures, power tools, and fasteners, such as rivets and bolts.
• Applies adhesives to surface of assembled parts for bonding in oven.

Essential Duties
Spirit Airlines Maintenance Operations is hiring experienced Line Maintenance Technicians to perform high quality routine and non-routine maintenance.
Ensure aircraft are maintained with the highest degree safety and are ready for scheduled flights.
Perform day to day planned and unplanned Aircraft Maintenance on A320 family aircraft.
Perform maintenance in compliance with Company Manuals & Federal Regulations.
Complete required training and actively maintain training currency as defined in Company Manuals.
Participate actively in the development and improvement of maintenance methods.
Maintain Line Maintenance related tooling, stands and ground equipment.
Perform all aspects of Line Maintenance. (Troubleshooting, Engine Run & Taxi, etc.)
Communicate with Maintenance Control as defined in the GMM.
Perform all work tasks with a high level of quality and safety.
Ensure all paperwork and records are completed and handled as outlined in the Company Manuals & Federal Regulations.
Provide regular predictable attendance.
Requirements
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must have a current Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
2-5 years air carrier commercial aircraft maintenance experience referred.
A320 Family aircraft experience preferred.
Must meet the recent experience requirements in accordance with 14 CFR 65.83.
Sheetmetal and Avionics skills are preferred
Ability to lift 85 lbs
Ability to clearly write, read, and speak the English language.
Ability to squat, bend and climb regularly.
Ability to work off of stands and lift trucks.
Ability to read wire diagrams and disseminate various levels of work instruction related to Line Maintenance and Aircraft Modification.
Able and willing to work any shift.

The Certificated Technicians are directly responsible to the Chief Mechanic or designee.
Responsibilities
These individuals are responsible for the work he/she performs, including the proper execution of paperwork and forms in accordance with Company, Manufacturer and Federal requirements.
Duties
a. Perform maintenance work on aircraft, in and about company shops, maintenance bases and line stations, including, but not limited to, periodic aircraft service checks, dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating and assembling all parts of aircraft and aircraft components.
b. Maintain work areas, tools & vehicles in a safe, clean and functional condition at all times.
c. Perform Routine Releases returning to service aircraft, or aircraft components for which he/she has performed maintenance.
d. Assist in the supervision, training and of all work performed by Non-Certificated Apprentice Technicians.
e. Assist in the identification of Company and Manufacturers manual deficiencies for
management review.
f. Notify the appropriate Inspection personnel whenever an RII is identified during
maintenance procedures.
g. Ensure that all hazardous materials storage is frequently inspected to ensure proper containers, lids, labeling and location also that are handled and stored in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
h. Perform other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications
a. Must hold a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate or other certificates acceptable to management. (I.E. Repairman, Powerplant, or Airframe)
b. Demonstrate a positive attitude towards productivity, safety and quality maintenance
c. Hold a valid state issued driver’s license and passport.
d. Fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
e. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), is the prime contractor to the U.S. Air Force to provide Predator and Predator B/MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) that are in extensive use in the skies over Iraq and Afghanistan. The prop jet Predator B, operational with the U.S. Air Force, Royal Air Force, U.S. Navy, Department of Homeland Security, and NASA, has also been acquired by the Italian Air Force. We are currently fulfilling a multi-million dollar procurement contract to provide Sky Warrior aircraft systems to the U.S. Army and have just introduced the next generation UAS in the Predator-series, the pure jet Predator C Avenger.
Due to intense industry growth we currently have several openings for A&P Specialists to work with production and deployed unmanned air vehicles (UAVs). These positions are located 50 miles northeast of Los Angeles at our Flight Test Facilities near Victorville & Palmdale, CA.
At this facility we perform flight-testing, flight-training, aircraft final checkout, aircraft modifications and provide flight operations support for customers worldwide.
As an A&P Specialist you will test, maintain & operate the UAV’s and related ground support equipment.
Requirements are:
Airframe & Powerplant license required.
Travel for 4 to 6 months (2-3 month rotational schedule) of the year both within and outside (premium compensation) the Continental United States.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense “Secret” Security Clearance
1-5+ years' aviation maintenance/repair experience or equivalent experience (small planes, motorcycles, etc.) preferred.
Experience in aircraft research & development and a background with composite structures are desired.
A background in reciprocating engines including engine teardown & buildup desired.

TITLE: A&P Licensed/Certified Mechanic II for Afghanistan
Expected duties include - Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components. Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems. Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks. Performs scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections. Performs limited maintenance operational checks and assists in diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment as required. Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment. Prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
Mechanic skill sets shall be broken down according to aircraft type or weapon system supported. YOU MUST HAVE ONE TO BE QUALIFIED:
Aircraft Power Plant: You must have a FAA-(A&P) Power-plant License to perform duties. Shall be qualified by Fixed Wing or Rotary engine type with a minimum of Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience.
AH-64 and/or CH-47 and/or OH-58 and/or UH/HH-60 Helicopters - Includes all model variations (currently A and D). Military service schooling or equivalent shall be required to perform duties. The mechanic II shall be qualified by aircraft type with a minimum of Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience.
The mechanic II shall be qualified by system type with a minimum of Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience.
Shall have the ability to use respiratory protective equipment (RPE) and wear protective clothing and equipment (PCE) while performing duties involving access to chemical surety material. Contractor shall not be assigned to tasks requiring the use of respirators without prior medical evaluation.

Northstar Trekking NorthStar Trekking (dba NorthStar Helicopters) in Juneau Alaska is looking for a full time
USA FAA certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician to start the end of summer 2012.
This is a starting position that includes inspe
ctions, daily maintenance, preventative
maintenance, major repairs and alterations to the Eurocopter AS350 series helicopters and
Turbomeca Arriel series engines.
Some experience on Eurocopter AS350 series helicopters OR Eurocopter AS350 and
Turbomeca Arriel series factory schools preferred. However, a recent graduate from an
approved school will also be considered.
The candidate must have their own basic hand tools (including metric) and a laptop
computer.
The ideal candidate must possess a USA FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate (A&P),
valid USA Passport, current USA “state” issued drivers license with a clean driving record
and eligible to work in the USA.
The candidate must also be flexible in regards to scheduling (days, nights and weekends)
and working conditions (i.e.: all weather conditions) and also be willing to travel.
Potential candidate’s professional & personal references and past employment will be
checked. A background (TSA & FAA) check will be accomplished. You must be willing to
take and pass (with negative results) an alcohol & drug-screening “pre-employment” test
prior to being offered employment.
NorthStar Trekking is a 14 CFR Part 135 operator that is involved in tourism, heli-skiing,
DOI/BLM/USFS, external load, executive transport and many other areas of the helicopter
industry. We are standing members of: Helicopter Association International (HAI), Tour
Operators Program of Safety (TOPS) and the Alaska Air Carrier’s Association (AACA).
