General Atomics, a defense contractor headquartered in San Diego, California, visited NAA’s Tampa Bay campus on Monday, June 19, 2017.
Founded in 1955, General Atomics has long been an innovator in the aviation sector. Large global contracts have secured the company’s need for personnel, which is ever-increasing. William Foster, Airframe and Powerplant Manager, gave presentations to students and team members, detailing the history of the General Atomics and their needs the for future.
General Atomics provides research and manufacturing services for remotely operated surveillance aircraft; including the Predator drones, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies. They are currently recruiting qualified A&P mechanics and avionics technicians – some, from right here at NAA.
