Two NAA students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement, attendance and drive. We are pleased to announce that Su Van Truong of the New England campus and Janice Hughes of Tampa Bay have been awarded these prestigious honors.
Truong was recognized as a 2017 Women in Aviation International (WAI) scholarship winner, where he was described as “intelligent, motivated, enthusiastic and in the top 5% of his class.”
Hughes was also presented a scholarship. It was noted that Hughes “displays all the essential skills and temperament to become not only a good team member, but also a future team leader. She is sought after to tutor and advise.”
Both individuals exemplify how hard work and dedication pays off both in school and towards a future career path. Congratulations!
NAA—Tampa Bay held its most recent graduation on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Largo Cultural Center. Students from classes 1215 and 716 proudly made their way across the stage, turned their tassels and set off as certificated airmen and airwomen!
Industry leaders such as Boeing, HAECO, Endeavor Air, Express Jet, Gulfstream and PSA have already hired Airframe & Powerplant mechanics from this group. Graduation is the first of many amazing things these individuals will accomplish in their careers in aviation. Congratulations, graduates!
