NAA Raises Funds to Send Kids to Science Camp

Each year during school breaks, including the long break in the summer, the Science Center of Pinellas holds camps for youth in grades K-8 featuring hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM). By providing fun activities, the Science Center introduces our community’s youth to potential careers, like those we train for at NAA, while they are in school. Through real-world applications students are exposed to the possibilities of science and technology to create a better future.

Over the last month, NAA teamed up with the Science Center to send kids to camp this summer. Students and staff donated to a number creative fund-raising initiatives, ultimately raising over $6,000 to benefit campers. As members of the educational community and purveyors of STEAM-focused engagement, it was truly rewarding to give to such an awesome cause.

Thanks to all who participated and donated!
