NAA Students Visit Allegiant Air

NAA students tour a variety of aviation-related job sites, especially as they near graduation. The field visits offer insight into the different sectors of aviation and offer soon-to-be grads a glimpse at the careers that they are about to embark upon. Most recently, Tampa Bay students toured Allegiant Air’s maintenance facilities at the St. Pete-Clearwater Airport (PIE).

The Tampa Bay Times has reported that Allegiant carries about 95 percent of the passenger traffic at PIE, which reported a record 1.6 million passengers in 2015. Students were able to interact at the busy maintenance facility, as well as gain a greater understanding of the low-cost carrier and its expanding routes.
