National Aviation Academy (NAA) has recently partnered with Draken to develop a paid internship program for students who currently attend the Tampa Bay campus. This comes in addition to other industry pipeline programs that have been established this year, such as Delta TechOps and Cape Air.
Internships take place at Draken’s Lakeland operational facility. Several students have been selected to participate, working on fighter jets while still completing their training at NAA. They are repairing aircraft such as the Douglas A-4 Skyhawks, Aero Vodochody L-159E ARCA and Aermacchi MB-339CB. In addition to pay, students receive individual mentorship, shift meals and invaluable hands-on, industry experience. This is an excellent opportunity for NAA students to increase their knowledge in an atmosphere that can lead to a permanent job offer – all prior to graduation.
NAA incorporates the latest technology and industry resources to deliver high quality aviation maintenance training. Partnering with Draken will strengthen NAA’s ability to achieve its mission of preparing students for employment in the aviation industry.
