Previous Experience or Training Credits

Applicants transferring from a school offering a similar Airframe and Powerplant Curriculum or those with civil or military Aircraft Maintenance experience may apply for advanced standing. In each case previous training or experience is evaluated according to set standards and credit is granted based on the evaluation by the Director of Education.

Applicants are required to show evidence of Aircraft Maintenance training on official transcripts or on military training records. Upon evaluation by the Director of Education, applicants then complete exams on the subject matter covered. A minimum grade of 70% must be attained on all exams for credit. If advanced standing credit is granted, the student is not be required to take those portions of the curriculum in which qualification has been determined. Prorated tuition credits will be issued. All testing for advanced standing must be completed prior to the starting date of the program.
