Why National Aviation Academy

NAA is a globally recognized maintenance training academy. Our programs prepare students for certification by the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A & P) Certification is required to perform maintenance and repairs on small aircraft as well as the largest jet airplanes. In addition to our maintenance programs, NAA offers avionics training focused on the electrical components of aircraft including navigation, communication and in flight entertainment systems. We also offer short courses for those qualified individuals with an advanced aviation background. These programs helps prepare applicants getting ready to take their final examinations as well as those seeking an inspector authorization or IA endorsement.

New England Campus

National Aviation Academy (NAA) - New England, founded in 1932, is based at Hanscom Air Field in Bedford, Massachusetts. This campus is comprised of 36,000 square feet of space for labs, shops, classrooms and administrative offices. Hanscom field is one of the busiest airports in New England serving both military and civilian aviation requirements. Two buildings form a campus that puts all activities within an easy walking distance. The John T. Griffin, Sr. Building is located on the flight line and is 30,000 square feet. It houses the school's administrative offices, several spacious classrooms, as well as shop/lab hangar areas for the AMT curriculum. The Catherine A. Mayo building is a 6,000 square foot facility and contains modern classrooms and labs.

Located just 15 miles northwest of Boston Massachusetts, The school is in the town of Bedford, an attractive, historic area between the towns of Lexington and Concord, near the Minuteman National Park. During the winter, skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating are also available near by. The Boston area is also full of professional sports teams including the New England Patriots (Football), Boston Red Sox (Baseball), Boston Bruins (Hockey), Boston Celtics (Basketball), and the New England Revolution (Soccer).

Tampa Bay Campus

National Aviation Academy (NAA) - Tampa Bay, was founded in 1969 in Clearwater, Florida. The school operates in a 32,000 square foot building which houses large classrooms and office space. All "Hands-on" training is preformed in both lab classrooms and a maintenance hangar located 1.5 miles east at the St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport. The St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport is home International Airport is also home to the largest and busiest Air Station for the United States Coast Guard.

Tampa Bay is comprised of three large cities: Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater. Beautiful Clearwater beaches are only a few short miles away from our main campus. NAA Tampa Bay is only 15 miles from Tampa International Airport which provides several carriers for travelers. St. Petersburg, Florida is home to the worlds largest Salvador Dali museum as well as a history museum that is based around aviation. The bay area is full of professional sports teams including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Football), Tampa Bay Rays (Baseball), Tampa Bay Lightning (Hockey), and the Tampa Bay Rowdies (soccer). Other attractions include Busch Gardens amusement park, fishing and sailing, and there are also several bike paths for great nature rides.
